The IMEU Policy Project is led by Palestinian-Americans and their allies committed to freedom and justice for Palestinians. There cannot be freedom and equality for Palestinians until root causes are addressed, especially ending Israel’s unjust, illegal, and brutal military rule and apartheid over Palestinians.

For decades the US has been a chief enabler of Israel’s brutality against Palestinians by providing billions of dollars in weapons to Israel while failing to enforce its own laws and human rights standards when the Israeli government violates them.

Unfortunately, the conversation in Congress remains limited to incremental and insufficient measures toward true freedom, safety, and peace for all — even in the midst of Israel’s genocide in Gaza that, as of September 2024, has killed over 42,000 Palestinians, including over 16,000 children.

This scorecard therefore reflects the records of Members of Congress on these limited but important efforts.

This scorecard is designed to benefit advocates working to strategically advance measures in Congress for Palestinian rights and toward lasting peace and equality. The criteria include sponsorship of letters and legislation, and voting records for this Congress (2023-2024).
